Steps to Improve Recycling

This conversation proposes three ways to improve recycling:

1.      Awareness of Public: There should be educational programs for the general public to know the importance of recycling including the knowledge of material which can be recycled.

2.      Technological Development: There should be Government support to the organisations involved in recycling work. It involves easy loans, incentive to upgrade their equipment and tax relief.

3.      Increased demand of Recycled Material:

Kyoto Protocol

It is an international agreement on climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions to control global warming.  

The United States produces 25 percent of the world’s pollution whereas it has 4 percent of the world’s population.

President Bush rejected Kyoto Protocol and instead relied on scientists to find alternate ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

President Clinton recognised the importance of Kyoto Protocol and asked urgent need for immediate action to save the environment.
